Client testimonials

"I just wanted to say a massive 'thank you' for all your hard work and beautfiul photos, they're exactly what we needed and to be honest are so much better than I could have imagined. You worked fantastically well with our partners and I can tell that you engaged with the service users well and really put them at ease." Anita Ahmed, Fundraising officer - AVERT

"As programme manager for a strategic grant on maternal health in Africa, I had the chance to work with Corrie to document our work in the field. Corrie has huge experience in producing photography for commercial purposes and this translated into supporting charity work extremely well.  She has a very creative and colourful style that suited our rights based approach. I wholeheartedly recommend her for any similar work."  Florianne Gaillardin, Project manager, Africa - Interact Worldwide/Plan UK

"I hired Corrie to take a series of street portraits for Westfield's Olympic campaign and she did a great job. With only a few seconds to grab each image it was a high pressured job requiring technical prowess and well developed people skills. Corrie has both in abundance.  Highly recommended."  Jim Boulton, Partner - Story

"Having worked with Corrie in Costa Rica, I can attest to her professionalism, adventurousness and technical excellence. But Corrie has another talent that can't be taught; she has the innate ability to connect with people, enabling her to capture the essence of individuals and groups in vivid portraits and action shots. In short Corrie puts a human face on travel photography." Dorothy MacKinnon, Travel writer - Fodor's guide Costa Rica

"Corrie has an amazing eye for an image and an ability to frame spontaneous moments in such a way that her style always shines through. Her ability of putting people at ease means that she is able to achieve uniquely intimate portraits without looking staged.  Reliable photographer, would highly recommend her for future projects." Photography can be a great passport into peoples lives and I've travelled extensively with my camera for the past 20 years.  With a background in Fine art I've always been interested storytelling and the human condition, capturing movement and emotions to convey visual messages.  I've been working alongside NGOs to communicate projects through vibrant, honest, dignified photography.  I am respectful and sensitive to beneficiaries and make genuine friendships wherever I work.  Listening to communities, documenting case studies and working closely with local partners is paramount to successful storytelling and engaging content.  Because my photography has a commercial yet personal element it can be useful for marketing a strong visual identity and brand for any client.  I have over 10 years experience of editorial travel photography, being principle photographer for over 15 travel guide titles including Myanmar, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Spain.

Non profit clients: ACTION FOR GLOBAL HEALTH; AIDS ALLIANCE; ANIDAN; AVERT; BILL & MELINDA GATES FOUNDATION; BIG LOTTERY FUND; INTERACT WORLDWIDE (PLAN UK); SOLAR AID; SUNNY MONEY; WOMEN AND CHILDREN FIRST

In addition to commissions and personal projects, I run participatory photography projects for NGOs who choose to tell the personal stories of their beneficiaries through first hand photography.  Currently based between the UK and Kenya, which has become my second home.  In 2013 I founded an arts centre at ANIDAN NGO children's shelter where I teach art and photography classes and manage an artist in residence program for practicing Kenyan artists. www.facebook.com/anidanarts
